Job summary

Hill Top Winery in Valley Center, CA is seeking a passionate and personable server to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your love of wine with guests while working in a stunning winery setting.

If you thrive in a hospitality environment and enjoy creating memorable experiences, we want to hear from you. Approximately 30 hours per week, with weekends, holidays, and events required.

Qualifications

• Experience in winery or hospitality settings preferred.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Willing to obtain RBS certification.
• Willing to obtain California food handler's permit.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests to the tasting room, ensuring a warm and inviting experience.
• Guide guests through wine tastings, flights, and pairings with engaging conversation.
• Take and fulfill food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, bar, and service areas.
• Educate guests on wine varietals, winemaking process, and club offerings.
• Process transactions and handle POS systems.
• Support wine club membership sales and events as needed.

• Greet and welcome guests to the tasting room, ensuring a warm and inviting experience

Requirements

• Prior experience in a winery, tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred
• Passion for wine and eagerness to expand knowledge of viticulture and enology
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and special events
• RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification or willingness to obtain
• California food handler's permit or willingness to obtain
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
