Job summary

Sterling Vineyards is seeking a Tasting Room Lead to act as an ambassador, overseeing hospitality staff, hosting tastings, and driving sales. You will guide guest experiences, educate visitors about wine and the winery, and help maintain high service standards.

The role requires 2+ years in wine sales or hospitality, flexibility for shifts, and ability to lift 40 pounds. Join a brand-focused team with strong guest-centric values and opportunities for growth in the Napa Valley.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ wine sales, restaurant and/or hospitality service experience.
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Strong knowledge of Napa Valley area and wine basics.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and maintain a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, pour and sell wines, host tastings, and welcome visitors.
• Lead daily activities of Hospitality Associates and supervise shifts.
• Achieve or exceed DTC financial goals and promote wine club sales.
• Process POS transactions and maintain accurate cash handling.
• Educate guests on winemaking and winery history, and build guest relationships.
• Assist with tours, events, and special brand experiences.
