Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a Project Manager to serve as the TOC Specialist for the CBC Division at our Queens headquarters. You will oversee task orders from scoping through close-out, coordinating with engineering, budgeting, procurement, and legal teams to ensure timely, compliant performance.

This role requires permanent Civil Service status as a Project Manager and a strong background in contracting, procurement, and contract administration within a capital

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering or related fields and one year of full-time project management experience.
• Or a four year high school diploma plus five years of project management experience as described above.
• One year of credit will be given for every 30 semester credits toward a baccalaureate degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Task Order Contracts supporting engineering, design, and construction management services.
• Develop task order scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules in coordination with technical leads and project managers.
• Facilitate procurement processes, including solicitation, evaluation, and negotiation of task orders.
• Ensure all task orders comply with contractual, legal, and organizational requirements.
• Monitor task order budgets, schedules, deliverables, and performance metrics.
• Track and report contract status and expenditures for senior management and stakeholders.
• Review invoices, change requests, and contract modifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues and maintain alignment with program objectives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in contract management systems.
• Support continuous improvement of contract management processes and templates.
