Job summary

Beach Bum Tanning is hiring friendly Tanning Consultants to help clients choose the right options and achieve their ideal glow. This role represents our brand in a fast-paced, customer‑focused environment and offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.

You’ll greet clients, assess skin types, explain the tanning process, maintain clean rooms, and drive sales of lotions and retail products while building lasting client relationships and encouraging repeat visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Experience in sales or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assess skin types and recommend tanning options.

In this position, you’ll represent our brand, guide clients through their tanning options, and support them in achieving their ideal glow.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who are:

• Positive, outgoing, and passionate about the tanning and beauty industry
• High school graduates (or equivalent)
• At least 18 years old
• Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing
• Experienced in customer service or sales (preferred)
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods

Experience

• Sales: 1 year
