Job summary

Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon in New Jersey is seeking a friendly tanning consultant to guide clients through options and support them in achieving their ideal glow. This role involves sales, customer service, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

The position offers full-time and part-time opportunities, with potential for advancement and professional development. Applicants should be 18+, able to work evenings and weekends, and comfortable standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school graduates (or equivalent).
• At least 18 years old.
• Experience in customer service or sales (preferred).
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines.
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed.
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs.
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits.
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history.
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards.

• Positive, outgoing, and passionate about the tanning and beauty industry
• High school graduates (or equivalent)
• At least 18 years old
• Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing
• Experienced in customer service or sales (preferred)
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods
