Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking skilled personnel to service ISO Tank Containers, performing pressure tests and maintenance on valves, gaskets and gauges. The role involves draining tanks, ensuring they are dry, and operating hoists, cranes, and precision instruments in a tank environment.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical background, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights on top of tanks.

Qualifications

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background.
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Detailed oriented.
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with heights on top of tanks.
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Role overview:

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
