Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in the United States seeks a hands-on technician to work on ISO Tank Containers, performing pressure tests, repairs and dry-out tasks. You will be responsible for maintenance activities on valves, gaskets, and gauges, ensuring tanks are safe and ready for service.

You will operate hoists and precision tools, diagnose mechanical issues, and follow strict safety protocols, including respirator use and working in confined spaces inside tanks.

Qualifications

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Detail oriented and safety conscious.
• Able to wear a respirator and work at heights on tanks.
• Experience working in enclosed spaces inside tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and ensuring tank is dry
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Role overview:

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Qualifications:

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
