Job summary

Depot Connect International in Garden City, GA is hiring an experienced ISO Tank Mechanic to repair, test and service ISO Tank Containers and associated valves, gaskets and gauges. You will work on tank containers, drain and dry processes, and use precision measuring tools in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires mechanical background, good communication, and comfort working in confined spaces and at heights on tanks.

Qualifications

• You must have a mechanical background with hands-on repair experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must be detail oriented and safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test and repair ISO Tank Containers as needed.
• Drain and dry tanks and inspect valves, gaskets, gauges.
• Repair/replace defective parts and perform lubrication.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and measuring/testing instruments.
• Diagnose issues by listening to mechanical equipment.

Role overview

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks drain and dry out the inside of the tank Repair and replace tank container valves gaskets and gauges

Position Responsibilities

Pressure test repair and replace valves gaskets and gaugesDrain tank and insuring tank is dryOperate hoists cranes and precision measuring and testing instrumentsObserve and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issuesRepair and replace defective parts inspect and adjust used partsLubricate and clean partsOperate lathe drill press and grindersUse hand tools and power tools

Qualifications

Candidates will possess a mechanical backgroundPossess good communication skills verbal and writtenDetailed orientedAbility to wear a respirator be comfortable with both heights on top of tanksWork in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
