Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring a maintenance technician to work on ISO Tank Containers. You will perform pressure testing, repair, and replacement of valves, gaskets, and gauges, as well as drain and dry tanks.

The role requires comfort with heights and confined spaces, plus experience with hoists, cranes, and precision instruments. The position emphasizes safety, technical aptitude, and teamwork as part of a global services leader in tank/container support.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background is required.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Detail oriented approach to inspection and repair.
• Ability to wear a respirator and work at heights on tanks.
• Able to work in enclosed spaces inside tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges.
• Drain tank and ensure it is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring/testing instruments.
• Observe and diagnose mechanical issues by listening and watching equipment.
• Repair/replace defective parts and inspect/adjust used parts.
• Lubricate and clean components.
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders.
• Use hand and power tools.

Role overview:

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Qualifications:

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
• Work in enclosed spaces inside of tanks
