Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to support nationwide tank construction projects. Responsibilities include welding, cutting, and assembly on various tank types, following detailed drawings and safety protocols.

The role requires strong teamwork, reliability, and readiness to travel to project sites across the country. Applicants should have basic welding skills; additional experience with SMAW, FCAW, and SAW is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legal to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug testing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders and other tools.
• Weld plate with 7018/7024/6010, FCAW and SAW processes.
• Operate lifting equipment and access equipment.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Complete safety analyses and site-specific trainings.
• Collaborate with crew members and follow directions.
• Other duties as assigned.
