Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is a nationwide tank construction company looking for a Tank Builder / Welder to join our team. We fabricate and repair above-ground metal storage tanks and related structures across multiple states, with project work spanning petroleum, power, chemical, and renewable fuels sectors.

The role demands skilled welding, heavy lifting, and strict adherence to safety procedures as part of a team delivering quality, on‑time results for clients nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and pass background and drug tests.
• Excellent communication and dependability.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and other power tools.
• Weld plates using 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW and SAW.
• Use lifting equipment and scaffolding for tank work.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
• Follow safety procedures and complete job safety analyses.
