Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Washington, DC is seeking a Talent Services Generalist to support onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance across the employee lifecycle. This role reports to the Talent Services Senior Manager and is based in-office in our Washington, DC office.

The Generalist will liaise with leadership, manage HR processes in Workday, and partner with employment agencies for staffing while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, Business, OD or related field
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR certification a plus
• Minimum of five years in HR, big law firm experience preferred
• General knowledge of HR principles and employment law compliance
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration and compliance across the employee lifecycle
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for attorneys and professional staff
• Maintain HRIS records and lead employee change processes
• Coordinate benefits open enrollment and handle benefit issues with the team
• Assist in performance reviews and HR reporting/audits
• Support leaves and time off policies and related communications
• Develop job descriptions and participate in recruiting for professional staff
• Collaborate with managers and attorneys on staffing and training needs
