Job summary

Prestigious Global Law Firm in Washington, DC is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with management on recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, and firm initiatives. This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead full-cycle recruitment, advise on policies, support compensation analyses, coordinate training, and help onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• At least four years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR functions, with emphasis on employee relations.
• Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with staff and leadership.
• Experience managing recruitment from sourcing to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policies, and day-to-day HR matters.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for administrative and professional roles from sourcing to onboarding.
• Support compensation initiatives by assisting with job evaluations, market research, salary analysis, and annual reviews.
• Coordinate employee development by identifying training opportunities and delivering learning programs for managers and staff.
• Advise managers on leave-related matters and coordinate accommodations and return-to-work solutions.
• Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience.
• Respond to employee questions and connect team members with HR resources.
• Contribute to HR projects and provide cross-functional support across recruiting, onboarding, and employee services.
