Zen Educate Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own the full hiring journey for paraprofessionals and substitute teachers.

This hybrid role combines outreach, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and role-matching to schools with urgent staffing needs. You’ll work on the front lines, coordinating with schools, candidates, and the team to fill roles quickly while maintaining high-quality educator access to Zen Educate’s platform.

Qualifications

• Backgrounds in customer service, recruitment, education, acting/theatre, or fast-paced startups are highly transferable.
• Proactive daily outreach and comfort speaking to many people daily.
• Ability to manage a large pipeline of educators and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and interview applicants by phone, assess preferences, and schedule interviews.
• Match candidates to the right role based on preferences and school needs.
• Build value and excitement by communicating Zen Educate's mission and impact.
• Guide candidates through onboarding and document collection, following up as needed.
• Thrive in a startup environment with flexibility and adaptability.
