Job summary

Zen Educate is hiring an Educator Recruitment Associate in Chicago. You will qualify paraprofessionals and substitute teachers, interview candidates, and guide them through onboarding to match them with schools needing staff.

This role is hybrid (2 days remote, 3 in-office) with a focus on building a strong educator network and delivering high-quality placements in a fast-growing EdTech startup. Equity, bonus eligibility, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Backgrounds in customer service, recruitment, education, acting/theatre, or fast-paced startups are valuable.
• Strong written and verbal communication with daily outreach.
• Goal-oriented and competitive mindset with target emphasis.
• Independent, organized, and able to manage a large educator pipeline.
• Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and interview applicants by phone to assess fit.
• Match candidates to appropriate educator roles based on preferences.
• Explain Zen Educate value and onboarding steps to candidates.
• Guide applicants through screening and document collection with follow-up.
• Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to change.
