A TALENT ACQUISITION & RESOURCE COORDINATOR ROLE

A Talent Acquisition & Resource Coordinator is responsible for attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent while also providing broader resource management support across the organization. This role owns the end-to-end recruiting process, assists with intern recruiting efforts, assists with resource allocation for new proposals, and oversees subcontractor and hiring agency relationships. By collaborating closely with the HR Manager, hiring managers, and operational team members, this position ensures that workforce plans remain accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational objectives. Responsibilities also include facilitating new employee integration and promoting industry best practices in compliance with relevant laws, legislation, and company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition

  • Lead daily tasks related to full-cycle recruiting (job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection).
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions, assessment criteria, and recruiting reports to measure and improve hiring effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager and hiring managers to ensure the recruitment process is efficient, fair, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Provide positive, engaging, and transparent candidate experience, promoting the company as an employer of choice.

Campus Recruiting & Internship Program

  • Cultivate relationships with colleges, universities, and professional organizations to attract emerging talent in the public health arena.
  • Coordinate and assist in facilitating virtual campus career fairs, networking events, and other student outreach initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Internship Program Specialist to facilitate a robust internship program, including onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies.

Resource Management & Proposal Support

  • Coordinate and plan current and future resources to fulfill project staffing needs.
  • Provide resource-related support for proposals by analyzing current talent availability and capacity.
  • Regularly communicate resource plans to ensure they remain current and strategically aligned.

Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination

  • Identify subcontractor needs and assist in sourcing and vetting processes.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate onboarding, performance tracking, and offboarding of subcontractors as needed.

Onboarding & Employee Integration

  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of direct hires, ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining company culture of belonging.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives to drive retention and support company culture.

Policy & Process Management

  • Monitor and apply best practices in HR, talent acquisition, and resource management, ensuring alignment with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain workflows, processes, policies, and communications to optimize talent acquisition and resource coordination.
  • Review and remain updated on total compensation markets to ensure JMC remains competitive.
  • Provide backup support to other operational team members as needed.

Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

  • Stay current on talent acquisition trends, resource management methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend new strategies to enhance the overall hiring and resource management function.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field desired
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in recruiting or staffing, with exposure to broader resource management functions OR a combination of education and experience.
  • Working experience coordinating staffing needs for new proposals or projects strongly desired
  • Experience working with a consulting firm or service-focused industry is preferred
  • Experience with a public health organization is a bonus
  • Strong interviewing skills and familiarity with selection methodologies (e.g., background checks, reference checks, skills assessments)
  • Proficiency with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple, concurrent priorities effectively
  • Working knowledge of employment law and legislation to ensure compliant hiring and resource practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated people focus and empathy, with an understanding that applicants have meaningful aspirations connected to our hiring processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey resource plans and recruitment updates
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to identifying and addressing challenges

JMC bases salary offers on knowledge, skills, and experience. Salary is one part of a competitive benefits package. The base salary range is $75,000 to $90,000. Benefits include 100% company-paid health, dental, and vision for employees and family, employee life, and long-term disability insurance. Generous and flexible paid time off (PTO) with a minimum of 5 weeks off per year, paid federal holidays, annual career development budget, a generous health savings account (HSA) contribution, 401(k) plan with company match, profit share, and the opportunity to work from home.
