Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead factory execution, obsolescence management, and production sustainment across tactical radio lines. You will bridge Engineering and Operations, ensuring production needs are met and technical issues are resolved efficiently. The role requires active SECRET clearance and U.S.

citizenship, with up to 10% travel. You will engage in CAM activities, cross-functional testing, and cost/schedule performance for assigned control

Qualifications

• Experience with the systems development lifecycle: requirements, design, integration, verification/validation.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Active SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship are required for start date.
• Typically requires a STEM degree and 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across engineering and operations to ensure production needs are met and issues resolved.
• Own CAM cost and schedule performance and lead related engineering actions.
• Represent Engineering in factory meetings and communicate needs to the engineering org.
• Present technical data to diverse audiences, from engineering discussions to leadership briefings.
• Coordinate with factory partners for near-term and long-range planning and resource needs.
