Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing test and other activities onsite. You will evaluate and solve test problems related to design, process, and supplier issues, with focus on test equipment and capacity.

This role offers growth, hands-on learning of high-frequency radios and circuit boards, exposure to SAP and CAD tools, and opportunities to advance within Collins' manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) required.
• Advanced degree with 3+ years of related experience preferred.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing and product testing preferred.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean methods.

Responsibilities

• Improve test yields, throughput, capacity and quality.
• Analyze root causes of test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate test equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Plan capacity and staffing for testing needs.
• Select and order capital test equipment with cost/payback analysis.
• Support Production Readiness Reviews for new designs.
• Assist Gage R&R efforts on new test solutions.
