Job summary

High Country Line Construction, Inc. seeks an T&D Estimator I to prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. The role uses historical data to forecast man hours and costs, and requires reading electrical drawings for accurate bid packages.

Must have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team, manage time effectively, and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders during pre-bid meetings and site visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of estimating or construction experience.
• Proficiency in reading electrical drawings.
• Ability to develop complex estimates with minor errors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for transmission, distribution and substation projects.
• Use historical data to estimate man hours and costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.
