Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 2 for the SLCM-N Tactical Supplier Management Team, based in Huntsville, AL. The role leads a team of engineers across several sites and interfaces with program suppliers to define and develop production scaling and product support equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years with a Master’s degree.
• US Citizenship with Active U.S. Government Secret clearance; reinvestigation within the last 6 years.
• Experience with production, manufacturing, logistics, or affordability.
• Experience briefing and interfacing with high-level customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~10–15 FTE performing systems engineering for production scaling and product support equipment, plans and materials.
• Provide both engineering functional leadership and technical program execution leadership across IPTs.
• Collaborate with peer managers to ensure consistency across multiple work groups.
• Support writing technical specifications, SOWs, design reviews and capture/proposal activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers as needed for leadership roles on programs.
