Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Software Lead for the SLCM-N Tactical Supplier Management Team in Huntsville, AL. You will lead hands-on software development for safety-critical systems, guiding teams in best practices, design, and integration of complex software in embedded environments.

The role requires C/C++ expertise, MATLAB/Simulink modeling, HWIL integration, and DoD eligibility. Relocation may be considered; Secret clearance is required with Top Secret/SAP potential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years (or advanced degree with fewer years) in a relevant field.
• U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret/SAP approvals.
• 5+ years hands-on C++ development for embedded/RT systems.
• Experience integrating software with hardware in a lab/HWIL environment.
• MATLAB/Simulink modeling for algorithm support and verification.
• Experience in Agile Scrum environments.
• Experience in DoD/aerospace system integration, verification, and validation.

Aufgaben

• Lead hands-on software development and guide teams in applying software engineering best practices.
• Design and integrate complex software for safety-critical command and launch systems.
• Develop modern C/C++ for embedded and mission applications.
• Implement hardware interfaces, protocols, and drivers for mission hardware.
• Prototype and validate algorithms with MATLAB/Simulink; transition to production C/C++.
• Build and maintain automated tests; debug software/hardware issues.
• Lead HWIL lab integration and scripted test execution.
• Develop HWIL test software and scripts (Python) for scenario automation.
• Coordinate system integration and provide technical leadership to Agile teams.
