Job summary

Extreme Networks is seeking a dynamic Systems Engineer to join our Sales team in a Pre-Sales capacity, supporting our Sports and Entertainment vertical. You will design, present, and oversee large-scale public venue networks and travel to customer sites to showcase design methodologies and competitive advantages.

This role requires 5+ years in network engineering or pre-sales, expert Wi‑Fi knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in network engineering, systems design, or pre-sales.
• Expert-level knowledge of 802.11 Wi-Fi technologies and wireless network design.
• Strong background in wired, wireless, and security networking technologies with proven competitive industry experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence customer decisions and effectively displace competitive solutions.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard network toolsets (Ekahau, Hamina, NetScout, or equivalent).
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills in enterprise network environments.
• Strong understanding of network and systems security design principles, implementation, and analysis.
• Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and coordinate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel within assigned region up to 60 percent.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the implementation of complex network solutions for sports and entertainment venues.
• Prepare and deliver compelling customer presentations to executive, management, and technical audiences.
• Represent Extreme Networks at trade shows, seminars, industry events, and customer briefings.
• Analyze customer requirements and architect solutions that effectively position Extreme Networks products against competitive alternatives.
• Demonstrate Extreme Networks products and clearly articulate competitive advantages and technical differentiation.
• Manage complex customer interactions, navigate challenging circumstances, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Support, Product) to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in live customer environments.
