Job summary

Extreme Networks, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead technical strategy for mid‑complexity accounts within a territory.

You will independently design solutions, perform technical validation, and drive POCs to advance deals, while partnering with Account Executives to shape strategy and win opportunities. The role requires 3–6 years in networking or pre‑sales, a CS/Engineering degree, and the ability to travel within the territory as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years in networking or pre-sales engineering.
• Ability to independently design mid-complexity solutions.
• Experience owning technical outcomes and revenue influence in a territory.
• Knowledge across NAC/RADIUS/802.1x/AD/LDAP, security, cloud, wireless/SDN/SaaS, IPv4/v6, L2 switching.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical qualification for assigned accounts throughout the sales cycle.
• Independently design and architect solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Drive POCs and technical validation to advance deals.
• Partner with Account Executives to shape and influence deal strategy.
• Build technical capability within channel partners through training and enablement.
• Expand and apply competitive positioning knowledge to win against alternative vendors.
• Own technical win rate and contribute to territory revenue results.
• Represent Extreme Networks in customer presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions across all levels of a customer's organization.
• Use Wi‑Fi test and planning tools to support design and validation work.
