CyberCoders in New York City is seeking a Systems Engineer, Support to ensure reliable IT operations across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments, with hands-on incident troubleshooting and system hardening.

The role includes provisioning, automation, security controls, on-call rotations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and security while delivering excellent internal customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years providing support and systems engineering in enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, macOS, Windows.
• Experience with patch management, access control, and vulnerability remediation.
• Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, SCCM, Jamf; scripting in Bash/PowerShell/Python.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for end users and infrastructure across OS platforms.
• Provision servers and workstations; manage configuration and patching.
• Implement and maintain system security controls and monitoring.
• Respond to incidents and document root cause analysis in ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan upgrades, backups, and DR processes.
• Develop and maintain technical runbooks and knowledge bases.
• Train end users on tools, security practices, and platform features.
• Participate in on-call rotations and capacity planning.
