Job summary

Systech Consulting in Southern Oregon is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to own complex technical work across diverse client environments. This isn’t a pure Help Desk role; you’ll design, implement, migrate, configure, and improve the systems our clients rely on.

You’ll lead onboarding, deployments, migrations and upgrades, perform technical discovery, and create accurate scopes of work with labor estimates.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot complex environments and design, implement, migrate, or modify production technology.
• Advanced troubleshooting across networking, Microsoft 365, servers and cloud systems.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, server configurations and IT security standards.
• Experience designing and configuring technical solutions within defined standards.
• Experience using a ticketing system, RMM tool, and PSA software.
• Ability to produce complete and defensible technical documentation.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior technicians.
• Ability to evaluate dependencies, risk, service impact, sequencing, validation, and rollback.
• Ability to develop and validate scopes of work and labor estimates.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing network, server, cloud, identity, M365, virtualization, backup, endpoint, and security solutions.
• Leading technical portions of onboarding, deployments, migrations, replacements, and upgrades.
• Performing technical discovery and evaluating client environments.
• Developing technical scopes of work and labor estimates.
• Troubleshooting complex issues crossing endpoints, networks, identity, servers, cloud services, apps, virtualization, and security.
• Planning significant technical changes with dependencies, security, sequencing and rollback.
• Creating technical documentation for support by others.
• Providing advanced technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
