Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Systech Consulting in Southern Oregon is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to own complex technical work across diverse client environments. This isn’t a pure Help Desk role; you’ll design, implement, migrate, configure, and improve the systems our clients rely on.
You’ll lead onboarding, deployments, migrations and upgrades, perform technical discovery, and create accurate scopes of work with labor estimates.

systech was founded in 2017 on a straightforward idea: businesses in this region deserved the same caliber of IT support that companies in Portland and Seattle take for granted, without having to import it.
Today our team runs managed IT, cybersecurity, business voice, structured cabling, camera security and software development out of our Roseburg headquarters and our Coos Bay office. Our co-founders lead that work directly, and they are on the escalation path when a call needs them.
We are big enough to cover every layer of our client's technology and small enough that they know the name of the person who picks up the phone or answers the email.
Systech is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who can take ownership of complex technical work across a wide range of business environments.
This isn't simply the next level of Help Desk. Our Systems Engineers design, implement, migrate, configure, and improve the systems our clients depend on. You'll work on infrastructure projects, new client deployments, migrations, advanced technical escalations, and the occasional problem that refuses to fit neatly into one technology.
You’ll need real engineering experience coming into the position. We don't expect you to know every platform in our environment on your first day, but we do expect you to have the technical foundation and professional experience necessary to learn unfamiliar platforms quickly and make sound decisions in production environments.
You’ll work across multiple client environments, taking responsibility for engineering and advanced technical work that includes:
You'll also work directly with clients. That means asking good discovery questions, explaining complicated technical subjects without making them unnecessarily complicated, communicating during projects and outages, and helping clients understand what we're doing and why.
Our client environments include technology such as:
This is an experienced technical position. You should already be comfortable taking responsibility for production infrastructure and independently working through complex technical problems.
We also expect experienced technical professionals to remain coachable. Nobody here knows everything, and technical experience doesn't eliminate the need to learn from other people.
Engineering isn't the point where learning stops.
Systech provides paid training time, access to a variety of online technical training resources, and opportunities for company‑paid industry certifications. You'll also be exposed to different businesses, technologies, infrastructure designs, and technical problems across our client base.
Working for an MSP means you don't spend your career looking at one company's environment. You'll see a lot of technology, including some environments that are clean and well designed and others that will make you wonder how they have continued operating this long.
Either way, you'll learn from them.
Our Systems Engineers work across the company, not in a technical silo.
You’ll work with Help Desk technicians when an issue requires deeper technical expertise, Account Management when a client needs a technical solution scoped or a project developed, and Field Services when an implementation requires work onsite. You’ll also work with other technical staff when a problem crosses systems or specialties.
You’ll help make the people around you better by explaining technical reasoning, documenting what you’ve built, and sharing what you’ve learned. As one of our more experienced technical resources, other members of the team will rely on your knowledge and technical judgment when working through difficult problems.
We take the work seriously without believing we have to take ourselves seriously every minute of the day.
We're a smaller technical organization in Southern Oregon. People know each other, departments work together, and your contribution is visible. You'll have access to the people making technical and business decisions rather than working several organizational layers away from them.
In return, we expect people to be dependable, communicate, take ownership of their work, help their coworkers, treat clients well, and continue improving.
Our Help Desk operates from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and our clients depend on us throughout the business day. Being on time, prepared, and reliable matters here.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks and obtaining and maintaining CJIS clearance.
