Job summary

RTX in Portsmouth, RI is seeking an engineering intern to support Systems Engineering across the design V-model, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification and validation.

You will conduct data analysis with MATLAB or Python, perform requirements analysis and maintain traceability through design, implementation and test phases, and assist with planning and executing integration and verification activities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) Technology or Engineering degree program and will be at minimum, entering their sophomore year by the start of summer 2026.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities across the design V-model, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification, and validation.
• Conduct data analysis, such as acoustics, radar and sonar data, using tools such as MATLAB.
• Perform requirements analysis, development and management.
• Support in developing and maintaining system requirements, ensuring traceability through design, implementation, and test phases.
• Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Test activities.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders.
