RTX is seeking an intern to support systems engineering activities across the design V-model, performing data analysis with MATLAB/Python and assisting in requirements management. You will work on traceable system requirements through design and test, while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role provides exposure to naval systems engineering and hands-on data analysis in a structured, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• This internship is for students enrolled in a Technology or Engineering degree program and entering at least their sophomore year by summer 2026.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by start of internship/co-op (on-the-job, coursework, or projects accepted).

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities across the design V-model, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification, and validation.
• Perform data analysis such as acoustics, radar and sonar data using tools such as MATLAB.
• Conduct requirements analysis, development and management.
• Assist in developing and maintaining system requirements with traceability through design, implementation and test.
• Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Test activities.
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders.
• Collaborate across disciplines and teams to implement solutions.
