Job summary

RTX in the United States (Portsmouth, RI) seeks a Systems Engineer to contribute to SE&T Surface Radars & Sensors. You will define and manage system requirements, integrate hardware and software, and verify interfaces across naval programs, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or STEM related degree.
• Experience with system software, system hardware, system requirements and/or test.
• Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB and/or other programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Support system engineering activities across the design V-model, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification, and validation.
• Develop and maintain system requirements with traceability through design, implementation and test phases.
• Capture technical inputs and translate them into clear, verifiable requirements.
• Conduct requirement analysis to ensure system designs meet objectives and customer needs.
• Detect and diagnose system failures, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
• Support software/hardware integration with engineering teams to ensure seamless functionality.
• Travel, domestic and international, up to 25% for customer events.
