Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an IT Endpoint and Mobile Device Manager to support enterprise Windows endpoints, Intune, and IGEL/virtual desktop environments in a healthcare setting. You will coordinate across teams, mentor junior staff, and drive endpoint compliance and configuration standards.

You will collaborate with Epic analysts and clinical teams to ensure OS compatibility and efficient device workflows while evaluating evolving platforms and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in information systems, healthcare informatics, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience with hands‑on endpoint or systems administration.
• Experience with Windows endpoint management and enterprise directory services (Active Directory and/or Entra ID).
• Experience administering an enterprise mobile device management or unified endpoint management platform.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for complex issues spanning endpoint, identity, virtualization, and clinical application layers.
• Coordinate across ISS teams and vendors to resolve complex issues.
• Administer Windows endpoint management via SCCM and Group Policy, including deployments, patching, and compliance reporting.
• Administer enterprise mobile device fleet in Microsoft Intune, incl. enrollment, configuration, and updates.
• Own thin client endpoint management including IGEL OS profiles and firmware lifecycle.
• Partner with Citrix team on virtual desktops and evaluate platforms.
• Collaborate with clinical, business, and Epic teams on device workflow design and OS compatibility.
• Evaluate and implement unfamiliar platforms and new system functionality.
• Build and maintain reporting on device inventory, deployment, and endpoint compliance.
• Serve as primary technical representative on small to medium projects with vendor coordination.
• Document supported configurations and workflows.
• Mentor new team members.

Job description

• Serve as escalation point for complex issues spanning endpoint, identity, virtualization, and clinical application layers


• Coordinate across ISS teams and vendors to resolve complex issues


• Administer Windows endpoint management through SCCM and Group Policy, including deployment collections, patching, and compliance reporting


• Administer the enterprise mobile device fleet in Microsoft Intune, including enrollment architecture, configuration and compliance profiles, OS and application updates, and mobile application management


• Own thin client endpoint management, including IGEL OS profile templates, organizational unit assignment, and firmware lifecycle


• Partner with the Citrix team on virtual desktop delivery and evaluate alternative thin client and virtual desktop platforms


• Partner with clinical, business, and application teams, including Epic analysts, on mobile application configuration, operating system compatibility, and device workflow design


• Evaluate and implement unfamiliar platforms and new system functionality


• Recommend prioritization and implementation strategies and become the internal technical reference for assigned systems


• Build and maintain reporting on device inventory, application deployment, and endpoint compliance


• Serve as primary technical representative on small to medium sized projects, including vendor coordination


• Document supported configurations and workflows


• Mentor new team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Healthcare Informatics, or Computer Science or equivalent experience


• High School Diploma or GED required


• Minimum 5 years of work experience within IT, including hands‑on endpoint or systems administration


• Experience with Windows endpoint management and enterprise directory services, including Active Directory and/or Entra ID


• Experience administering an enterprise mobile device management or unified endpoint management platform


• Working knowledge of thin client and virtual desktop infrastructure concepts and deployment models


• Working knowledge of core IT infrastructure concepts including DNS, Networking, and Server Virtualization


• Experience with application build, configuration, and deployment


• Ability to independently learn, take ownership of, and become the internal technical reference for unfamiliar platforms


• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues spanning multiple systems, platforms, and vendors


• Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and change management skills


• Ability to work directly with end users to translate operational requirements into system design


• Familiarity with enterprise AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot or Claude Code, and openness to applying them within organizational governance and data handling standards


• Experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM/Intune preferred


• Hands‑on experience with IGEL OS or a comparable thin client management platform preferred


• Enterprise single sign‑on platform experience preferred; Imprivata OneSign experience is a strong plus


• Working understanding of Citrix or a comparable virtual desktop platform preferred


• Experience supporting Epic or comparable clinical applications in a healthcare or regulated environment preferred


• Scripting and automation experience, such as PowerShell or Microsoft Graph API, preferred
