Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Endpoint Management Engineer to design, implement, and support modern desktop management solutions for Windows 11 using SCCM/SCCM, Intune, and related tools. You will lead sessions with clients, architect lifecycle practices, and ensure secure, scalable deployments across enterprise endpoints.

The role emphasizes design, scripting, deployment automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure and compliant desktop environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience administering Endpoint Management systems.
• Experience with SCCM, Intune, Entra, and AVD.
• Experience with PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design modern desktop and mobile device management solutions using Windows 11, MECM/SCCM, and Intune.
• Design, develop and implement modern lifecycle practices for endpoints.
• Perform software/hardware testing, modifications, and system integrity checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, problems, and errors.
• Lead client working sessions and gather business, communication, and functional objectives.
• Develop high-level implementation plans for the desktop platform.
• Operate and maintain Microsoft SCCM and related environments, including distribution points, Cloud Management Gateway, Intune, and Autopilot.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2.
• Ensure security compliance.

Job description

• Design modern desktop and mobile device management (MDM) solutions using Windows 11, MECM/SCCM, and Intune
• Design, develop and implement modern lifecycle practices for endpoints
• Perform software/hardware testing, modifications, and system integrity checks
• Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, problems, and errors
• Research emerging technologies
• Lead client working sessions and gather business, communication, and functional objectives
• Design how technologies will fit into the ACA environment
• Partner with architects across network, server, security, and telephony platforms
• Develop high-level implementation plans for the desktop platform
• Evaluate technologies and assess their impact on ACA’s computing environment
• Provide guidance on the modern desktop platform
• Build Group Policy desktop management policies and transfer/manage GPOs in Intune Configuration Policies
• Operate and maintain Microsoft SCCM and related environments, including distribution points, Cloud Management Gateway, Intune, and Autopilot
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2
• Ensure security compliance
• Install, configure, and prepare operating systems for deployment with SCCM and Intune
• Create PowerShell scripts and packages for upgrades
• Manage security patches, vulnerabilities, malware prevention, protection, and recovery
• Participate in enterprise vulnerability tiger teams
• Plan, build, deploy, and track application packages
• Conduct zero-touch deployments
• Utilize Intune management for various tasks
• Monitor and report compliance, Windows updates, PCI, and third-party updates
• Research and improve endpoint images based on business requirements
• Perform post-resolution ticket follow-ups
• Adhere to the Change Management Process
• Provide reporting and metrics documentation
• Create and update knowledgebase documentation
• Abide by Information Security Policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or related field
• A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 6 years of experience administering Endpoint Management systems required
• Experience with desktop architecture
• SCCM, Intune, Entra, and AVD experience
• Experience with PowerShell
