Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to monitor and support our hybrid infrastructure, spanning on‑prem and cloud environments. You will manage Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, and Microsoft 365 services, while contributing to security, patching, and backups.

You will use PowerShell for automation, work with Intune or SCCM for endpoint management, and collaborate with diverse teams to resolve issues and implement improvements. A flexible, on‑call rotation is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands‑on IT, systems administration, help desk, infrastructure, cloud, or related technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, escalating issues when needed.
• Respond to systems-related support requests and troubleshoot hardware, software, access, storage, and application issues.
• Assist with administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, AWS, and related business applications.
• Support software releases, patching, upgrades, backups, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Maintain endpoint management processes, including device configuration, compliance, and deployment support through Intune or SCCM.
• Use PowerShell or other scripting tools for automation, reporting, and repeatable operational tasks.
• Document troubleshooting steps, system changes, standard processes, and known issues.
• Partner with network, telecom, software development, help desk, security, and business teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 after-hours on-call rotation and respond to urgent system issues.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands‑on IT, systems administration, help desk, infrastructure, cloud, or related technical experience.


• Working knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and basic security practices.


• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.


• Familiarity with endpoint management, virtualization, backup tools, monitoring tools, or ticketing systems.


• Basic scripting or automation experience, preferably with PowerShell.


• Ability to troubleshoot methodically, research unfamiliar issues, and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical partners.


• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, relevant certifications, or equivalent practical experience.


• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments.


• Experience with Intune, SCCM, Azure Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, VMware, Hyper‑V, SQL Server, IIS, or SharePoint administration.


• Relevant Microsoft, Azure, AWS, CompTIA, ITIL, or security certifications.


• Linux experience or exposure to software development, DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
