Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services seeks a Systems Engineer II to design, implement, and optimize enterprise infrastructure. Based in Richland County, this in-office role focuses on SCCM/MECM, Intune co-management, OS deployment, patching, and security alignment with policy requirements.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with security teams, and drive automation and monitoring to ensure scalable, compliant systems across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of SCCM/MECM, Intune, and endpoint management.
• Ability to implement security baselines and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead configuration, deployment, and operations of SCCM/MECM and MECM/Intune environments.
• Manage OS deployment, application deployments, patch cycles, and endpoint compliance.
• Coordinate with security and identity teams to apply policies and Zero Trust controls.
• Monitor performance, storage, and server health; maintain technical runbooks.
• Provide documentation and contribute to strategic infrastructure initiatives.
