Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer II in Cedar Rapids, IA to design, develop, and test flight management software used on military helicopters and aircraft. You will work in an AGILE, cross-functional team and grow expertise in Flight Management Systems.

Role requires 2+ years in systems and strong knowledge of C/C++, Python, and DOORS. Travel is possible, and the position is onsite at RTX Collins Aerospace Military Avionics in Cedar Rapids.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, ADA, and/or Python.
• 2+ years in a Systems role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test flight management software features for military aircraft.
• Grow knowledge of Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, and coordination to deliver quality, timely products to customers.
