Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems/Software Engineer for avionics with a strong foundation in systems engineering. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver avionics system solutions, refine requirements, and contribute to verification and testing in lab environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field by start date.
• Coursework or project experience related to systems engineering, embedded systems, software development, aerospace or controls.
• Exposure to requirements development, verification, testing, or model-based engineering concepts.
• Experience with Python/MATLAB/Simulink/Cameo or similar engineering tools.
• Experience working on team-based technical projects, including design reviews, troubleshooting, or test execution.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of systems, software, integration, and test engineers to develop and deliver avionics system solutions.
• Support development, analysis, and refinement of system requirements and interfaces.
• Contribute to verification planning and test development to ensure implementations satisfy system requirements.
• Participate in technical reviews of requirements, design artifacts, and test procedures, incorporating feedback into your work.
• Assist with system integration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in lab and development environments.
