Job summary

RCT Systems seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to support two secure cloud-based applications and their infrastructure in Reston. You will collaborate with developers, cybersecurity engineers, DBAs, and architects in an Agile environment and participate in on-call rotations after one year.

The role emphasizes secure system design, Linux administration, scripting in Bash and Python, and hands-on automation to maintain robust cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 11–16 years of systems engineering experience.

You'll work with a multidisciplinary team of developers, cybersecurity engineers, database administrators, and architects in an Agile environment. After one year, participation in an on-call rotation is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and integrate secure systems and cloud services.
• Support Linux administration, patching, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot networking, firewall, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with security engineers to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure systems align with architecture and requirements.

Required Qualifications
