Job summary

Computer Technologies Consultants, Inc. (CTC) in San Diego, CA, seeks an early to mid‑career Cloud Systems Engineer to support our operations, infrastructure and support engineering group.

The role focuses on building and maintaining tooling and infrastructure for automated release, deployment and upgrades of base cloud infrastructure. You will develop automated pipelines for cloud environments and provide consulting to application and infrastructure teams on build, test and release automation.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology and 4+ years direct experience
• Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months of hiring
• Experience working in a security culture
• Experience with scripting languages and operating systems software (PowerShell, Bash)
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform or equivalent configuration management tools
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong team building skills enabling collaboration across teams
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Azure, AWS or similar cloud provider experience

Job Description

We are seeking an early to mid‑career level Cloud Systems Engineer for our Operations, Infrastructure & Support Engineering Group that will focus on building and maintaining the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release, deployment and upgrade processes for base cloud infrastructure. This individual will work on developing the automated pipelines for cloud environments as well as providing consulting services to application and infrastructure teams specific to automated build, test and release automation. This role will be responsible for the operations and operating environment for the DevOps platforms and will drive troubleshooting efforts around incidents and outages.

Additional tasks will include:

Required Education, Experience & Skills

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI

• Security+ Certification

• Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. Candidates with Top Secret/SCI and polygraph are preferred.

Pay Information

Full‑time Salary Range: $90k – $155k

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education and experience.
