HX5, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer for a position at Eglin AFB in Niceville, Florida. The role supports DoD acquisition activities across the lifecycle, including requirements development, system design, integration, and technical documentation.

Collaboration with PM, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams is essential to ensure optimized system performance. The candidate will participate in technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), assist in risk management, and contribute to acquisition

Qualifications

• Must have an ABET-accredited engineering degree or higher with corresponding professional experience.
• Options include: Bachelor's + 20 years, Master's + 15 years, or Ph.D. + 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Material Solutions Analysis through Operations & Support).
• Support requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verification.
• Conduct system design, integration, and technical analysis activities.
• Develop and review technical documentation, including specifications, interface documents, and engineering reports.
• Support technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) and program milestone activities.
• Collaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated system performance.
• Analyze system performance and recommend design or process improvements.
• Support risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning.
• Provide technical input to acquisition documentation and program decision-making.

Education

Undergraduate engineering degree from ABET-accredited institution

Bachelor's degree and 20 years of professional experience

Master's degree and 15 years of professional experience

HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB in Niceville, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support systems engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Material Solutions Analysis through Operations & Support)

Education and Experience:

Must have one of the following combiniations of education and experience:

• Undergraduate engineering degree from ABET-accredited institution.
• Bachelor's degree and twenty (20) years of professional experience
• Or Master's degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience
• OR Ph.D. and five (5) years of professional experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance by date of hire.
