HX5, LLC is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Materials Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB in Niceville, Florida. You will contribute to design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads and related materials, and support MIL-STD specifications.

This full-time role requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree and extensive experience; US citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance are mandatory. Travel to supplier/test sites will be expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 20 years professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 15 years with a Master's degree, or 5 years with a Ph.D.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads, including mechanical design, manufacturing, energetic fills, and aircraft integration.
• Test plan design, review, and/or oversight.
• Material review and qualification testing.
• Support penetration modeling and fragmentation/performance analysis, fatigue and stress analysis, and insensitive munitions work per MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-2105C.
• Provide materials engineering support, including material selection and processing guidance, and improve fabrication techniques.
• Perform testing and evaluation of materials, corrosion control, failure analysis, and contribute to inspection techniques and standards across the product life cycle.
• Travel to supplier and test sites.

Senior Acquisition Program Materials Engineer

HX5 is currently seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Materials Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB in Niceville, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads, including mechanical design, manufacturing, energetic fills, and aircraft integration.
• Test plan design, review, and/or oversight
• Material review and qualification testing.
• Support penetration modeling (such as Penetration Curve/PENCURV), fragmentation and penetration performance analysis, fatigue and stress analysis, and insensitive munitions work in accordance with MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-2105C.
• Provide materials engineering support, including identifying suitable materials, advising on material composition and processing, and developing or improving fabrication and processing techniques.
• Perform testing and evaluation of materials, corrosion control, failure analysis, and contribute to developing or revising inspection techniques, specification standards, and maintenance procedures across the product life cycle.
• Travel to supplier and test sites.

Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate engineering degree from ABET-accredited college.
• Bachelor's degree and twenty (20) years of professional experience
• Or Master's degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience
• OR Ph.D. and five (5) years of professional experience

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance by date of hire.
