Job summary

Amazon seeks a Systems Development Engineer to lead deployment of next-gen fulfillment systems. You will liaison between Fulfillment Center Operations and product development, owning deployment processes from lab to field.

You will build relationships with cross-functional teams, test complex solutions, and drive improvements in deployment standards and runbooks across multiple sites in North America.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming in modern languages (Python/Java/C/C++/Golang).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Linux/Unix environments.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Experience with embedded and control systems including PLC/IPC-based controls.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cross-functional deployments on time, on budget, and with low defects.
• Drive deployment schedules and capture KPI metrics for project success.
• Deep dive solutions for sorter systems, material handling, and controller commissioning.
• Develop scripts and tools to improve engineering efficiency and scale.
• Support design reviews and collaborate with vendors for deployment.
