Job summary
Amazon's Robotics Technology Deployment team is seeking a Robotics Systems Engineer II to oversee end-to-end deployment of industrial automation at North American fulfillment centers. You will lead onsite installation, coordinate with hardware, software, and operations teams, and drive go-live readiness.
You will apply electro-mechanical expertise, PLC/SCADA knowledge, CAD literacy, and network fundamentals, traveling up to 75% to sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years troubleshooting robotics or complex electro-mechanical systems.
- 5+ years deploying large-scale industrial robotics projects.
- Experience with BOMs, deployment work instructions, and PM tools.
- CAD experience for deployment, maintenance or support.
- PLC/SCADA and network infrastructure experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically 75%+ annually.
- Six Sigma, PMP, or related certifications (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Manage tactical deployment of large-scale industrial automation.
- Own onsite installation coordination and go-live delivery.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, PMs, and site teams.
- Improve operations metrics through automation.
- Resolve difficult deployment issues with trade-offs.
- Create standard work and operational guides.
- Influence internal and partner teams to meet goals.
- Develop deployment domain subject matter expertise.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in assessments.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives with measurable results.
