Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a Software Delivery support professional to assist through all phases of the SDLC, working with developers, end-users and support staff. The role includes documenting requirements and design, maintaining standards, and participating in design reviews.

The candidate will analyze logs, deploy releases, configure IIS, and manage access controls, while providing second‑tier support and performing tests across modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 3 years work related experience in systems analyses with multiple programming languages, multiple hardware platforms, operating systems, and database management systems including one year programming with Transact-SQL.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; build productive working relationships.
• MCSE, MCSA or CISSP certifications are preferred; Oracle experience and CDM/ICP designation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs all phases of the software development lifecycle including design sessions, requirements definition, development, and testing.
• Analyzes ELMAH logs, storage management, mainframe error logs, and application error stacks to perform root-cause analysis.
• Deploys new software releases, configures features, manages security permissions, reconfigures IIS, and installs web-based applications.
• Creates/updates/maintains the application web portal and manages application-level configuration and access controls.
• Performs backup testing of software and data; acts as second-tier of the technical support team.
• Performs unit, regression, and system-level testing.
• Coordinates silent installation of third-party software configurations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
