Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a software developer to contribute to design, development, testing, and support of software solutions in an Agile environment. You will work with senior engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality features, troubleshoot issues, and promote secure, maintainable code delivery for county operations and residents.

You will implement features, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate across teams to ensure end-to-end delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Three (3) years of software development experience
• Professional certifications like cloud or Agile preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support software solutions in an Agile environment
• Implement features, user stories, and bug fixes under guidance
• Maintain UIs, APIs, and backend logic with clean, documented code
• Perform unit/integration tests and collaborate with QA/UX/Operations
• Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment processes
• Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and estimation
• Ensure security, accessibility, and performance best practices
