Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a skilled .NET Software Developer to analyze, design and build custom applications in a Microsoft .NET environment. You will develop new web-based solutions and modernize existing systems to support centralized management and reporting.

Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, documenting and deploying applications; providing end-user training; and coordinating with other divisions to ensure reliable, high-quality technology services.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Five (5) years of work related experience in developing and coding computer systems, to include three (3) years of preferred experience with Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (current version).

Responsibilities

• Designs, programs, tests and implements computerized information processing systems; and analyzes, designs and develops custom applications in a Microsoft .Net environment.
• Develops new systems based on requirements and user specifications.
• Provides technical assistance to end-users identifying requirements and system solution areas; and trains and provides end-users with systems specifications and instructions.
• Drafts system documentation, specifications and programming project status reports.
• Coordinates with other divisions to ensure efficient, effective and quality delivery and operation of technology system solutions.
• Analyzes and evaluates information processing systems to identify better business solutions; and designs system enhancements and other alternatives to existing methods of business processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
