Job description

• Provide on-site systems administration support within a 24x7 operational environment
• Troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers remotely and hands-on
• Perform security administration, routine patch maintenance, network monitoring, and system configuration
• Perform system operations, server maintenance, user account administration, and daily performance/availability monitoring
• Open, track, and resolve help desk tickets via phone and email
• Manage customer inquiries and elevate complex issues to tier-three support teams
• Support firewalls, security configurations, database connections, malware protection software, and patch management
• Create, verify, and restore system data backups
• Review application logs to address security or usability concerns
• Install, configure, test and upgrade server hardware, client operating systems, network peripherals, and computer equipment
• Support AWS cloud environments, identity management systems, PKI, and Ansible automation
• Maintain technical documentation, system logs, inventory records, and operational reports
• Collaborate with development and engineering teams by providing diagnostic data for elevated technical issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT support, help desk operations, or systems administration
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot networking, Linux, and Windows operating systems
• Experience maintaining servers, reviewing application logs, and resolving hardware/software issues
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must hold an active Secret clearance at time of application
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification and relevant OS/Cloud environment certifications meeting DoD 8570/8140 baseline requirements
• Familiarity with AWS cloud processes, Ansible automation, Identity Management, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ticketing systems
• Ability and willingness to work flexible shift schedules within a 24x7x365 operational facility
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time
• Must be able to continuously operate a computer and office productivity machinery
• Must be able to lift/rack server hardware equipment
• Must be able to work on-site in the Clarksburg/Fairmont, WV area
