Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking an experienced systems administrator to manage, maintain, and support multiple systems across Nantucket Cottage Hospital. You’ll perform proactive rounds, monitor alarms, and coordinate rapid resolution of issues to minimize service disruption.

The role emphasizes collaboration with department leaders to improve workflows, support enterprise initiatives, and ensure secure, reliable technology for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree related field required.
• 5-7 years experience in systems/applications administration.
• Proficient in operating systems, networking, and databases.
• Experience with scripting and disaster recovery.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounding and check-ins with departments to proactively identify system concerns and operational needs.
• Monitor system performance, alarms, temperature and control conditions, and other indicators to address issues.
• Triage and provide break-fix support for emergent system issues and coordinate resolution.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, applications, computer equipment, and peripherals.
• Ensure system security and data integrity while supporting operations.
• Respond to outages and coordinate escalation as needed.
• Mentor team members and support departmental leaders on system initiatives.
• Perform application administration such as user access management and secure access provisioning.
• Plan and schedule software, hardware, and OS updates with department leadership.
• Develop and maintain technical docs, backups, test plans, and reports.
• Prioritize service requests with timely communication to stakeholders.
• Collaborate on projects supporting quality, patient experience, and integration.
