Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support Nantucket Cottage Hospital. The role focuses on maintaining multiple systems and applications, proactive rounds, and rapid triage of issues to keep operations reliable and secure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• 5-7 years experience in systems/applications administration.
• Proficient in operating systems, networking, and database management.
• Experience with scripting languages and backup/recovery technologies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounding and check-ins with departments to identify system concerns and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor system performance, alarms, temperature and control conditions, and address issues.
• Triage and provide break-fix support for emergent system issues and coordinate resolution.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, applications and peripherals.
• Maintain security and integrity of systems and data; respond to outages and provide escalation when needed.
• Support and mentor systems administrators and team members; participate in updates planning.
