Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support multiple systems and applications at Nantucket Cottage Hospital. The role requires proactive, hands-on support, with regular rounding, monitoring, and issue triage to ensure reliable, secure operations.

You will coordinate resources, collaborate with department leaders, and contribute to enterprise initiatives, while ensuring high-quality patient care and smooth technology workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience can be substituted for the degree.
• 5-7 years of systems/applications administration experience required.
• Proficient with operating systems, networking, and database management.
• Experience with scripting languages is needed.
• Knowledge of backup/recovery technologies and disaster recovery planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounding and check-ins with departments to identify system concerns and needs.
• Monitor system performance and alarms to address potential issues.
• Triage and provide break-fix support for emergent system issues.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot systems, applications, and hardware.
• Maintain security and integrity of systems and data.
• Respond to outages and coordinate escalation when needed.
• Support and mentor systems administrators and team members.
• Perform application administration and manage user access.
