Job summary

McMillan Pazdan Smith is seeking a Systems Administrator to oversee the IT infrastructure, cloud services, identity systems, and endpoint management across offices. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and support with project implementation and troubleshooting responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will manage Active Directory, Entra ID, and software deployments, including Autodesk AEC suite, while maintaining system health and performing routine upgrades and security remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise software across multiple offices, including packaging, deployment automation, testing, troubleshooting, security, and compliance.
• Three or more years of experience in systems administration, including server, identity, endpoint, and infrastructure support.
• Experience supporting Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and endpoint management solutions.
• Strong IT infrastructure foundation with networking, hardware, software, security, and recovery concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; able to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Relevant certifications or equivalent technical experience in systems administration, cloud services, cybersecurity, networking, or endpoint management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, cloud services, virtualization platforms, storage, backups, and core IT systems.
• Provide guidance to help desk staff and contribute specialized knowledge in cybersecurity, cloud services, networking, and application support.
• Support endpoint management, patching, OS configuration, device compliance, and lifecycle processes.
• Manage application updates and patching cadences for Autodesk products and other enterprise apps.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security; perform proactive issue resolution.
• Perform upgrades, patching, configuration changes, vulnerability remediation, and routine maintenance.
• Escalate complex issues and perform root cause analysis with clear communication.
• Travel to other office locations as needed.
