Job summary

Prairie States Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation of server, cloud, identity, endpoint, and core tech environments.

You will administer Microsoft and Linux systems, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, virtualization, storage, backups, patching, monitoring, and documentation. You’ll work with the IT team to resolve escalated issues, support disaster recovery, and uphold security across the network, including AD, firewalls, and access

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year IT program with certification required.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems/IT preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related network/system administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Admins Microsoft Entra ID and 365 services; manage AD, policies, permissions.
• Maintain servers, virtualization, storage, backups, patching, monitoring.
• Provide advanced technical support and incident response.
• Develop and maintain system docs, disaster recovery, business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with IT team to resolve escalated issues and optimize performance.
• Monitor security, logs, and network utilization; implement security controls.
